Who answers the request?
The notes app has grown: it has payments, likes under posts, a nightly report and a sign-up email. The database runs as a leader (takes every write) and a replica (a live copy, usually one or two seconds behind). For each request below, choose which part answers it. A stale answer where freshness matters is a bug; a heavy read on the leader slows every write. Each option can be used more than once.
